"ANÉMONA" from Conchita Menéndez has been selected to take part in the international exhibition “TRANSFORMATIONS”, presented within the framework of TextilFest 2025, held in Igualada (Barcelona) from 18 September to 26 October 2025.
The exhibition brings together 95 artists from 34 countries, each offering a unique perspective on the concept of transformation. As the curatorial text states, we live in “an era in which nothing is permanent and changes occur at great speed,” a context that inspires works exploring metamorphosis through material experimentation, intimate personal narratives, memory, and the poetics of nature.
Menéndez’s piece becomes part of this global dialogue, celebrating the conceptual and technical diversity of contemporary textile art and its ability to generate new visual narratives in a world defined by constant change.
