I have had the honor of being invited to participate in this Exhibition with my textile works, as well as to carry out a wet felting workshop on the 9th in the morning.

The experience has been magnificent, the organization has been fantastic and I hope that this event will be repeated in successive years.

The summary of this event has been:

The Deputy for Economic Development and Productive Sectors, Sebastián Cañadas, and the president of the Alicante Chamber of Commerce, Juan Riera, have inaugurated an exhibition of crafts from the province at the Provincial Palace, organized by both entities under the motto OUR HISTORY IN HER HANDS.

Sebastián Cañadas has congratulated the Alicante Chamber of Commerce for this "great initiative with which it is intended to publicize and value the history of our province through crafts, an essential sector that has always had a specific weight in productivity and in the economic development of our land”.

For his part, the president of the Chamber, Juan Riera, pointed out that “this exhibition aims to make available to the public what we do so well in the province and that is an inherent part of the tradition of our land. The Chamber is willing to help all artisans in the province, a sector with great vitality. We would very much like this initiative to continue over time and I thank the organizing committee for their efforts to make this project a reality and the Provincial Council for supporting us enthusiastically”.

Rosa Ana Seguí Sanmateu, General Director of Commerce, Crafts and Consumption, as well as Charo Tomás, President of the Chamber's Crafts Commission and Antonio Sáez, member of the Executive Committee, also took part, who highlighted the value of the exhibition and of the artisans who work in the province of Alicante.

The exhibition took place on April 8, 9 and 10 in the exhibition hall of the Palacio de la Diputación de Alicante and it was possible to see works by artisans from Altea, Ibi, Elda, Agost, San Joan, Aigües, Callosa de Segura, El Campello, Alicante and many other locations, allowing you to see the work of 23 artisans of ceramics, vegetable fiber, musical instruments, jewelry, wood, skin and leather, textiles, glass, footwear, toys, bookbinding, to name a few of their specialties.

During the duration of the exhibition, five demonstrative workshops of wood, macramé, felt, patchwork and ceramics, developed by prestigious artisans, who have a craft qualification document (DCA), could be seen.
